Responsibilities

1. Delight patients and families by creating a kind, gracious, and caring environment.
2. Assist dentists and hygienists in delivering clinically excellent dental care through education, quality, and treatment. Support diagnosis with x-rays, verbal communication, and other tests.
3. Ensure efficient operations by seeking patient referrals, maintaining equipment, using supplies cost-effectively, and posting charges accurately.
4. Follow CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control.
5. Complete clinical notes according to guidelines before dismissing patients.
6. Prepare treatment rooms by following procedures, sterilizing instruments, and assisting the dentist during procedures.
7. Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies.
8. Promote a team-first attitude through positive communication and relationships with coworkers.

Requirements

• Dental Assistant Certificate / EDDA Certificate / EFDA Certificate
• Clerical Experience
• X-Ray Certification
• CPR Certification

Desirables

• Additional certifications and experience such as Associate's degree, DANB (Indiana), OSHA, Coronal Polishing, 1-3 years experience, Open Dental, Digital X-Ray, Ultra-Sonic, Sterilizer, Autoclave, Model Trimmer.
