Job summary

Comprehensive Community Health Centers, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a temporary Dental Assistant to support the Dentist in delivering primary care dental services.

The role includes sterilization, operatory preparation, and inventory control of dental instruments and supplies in compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate will assist with chairside procedures, maintain infection control standards, and help manage patient flow and records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Infection control (8 hours) course per Board requirements
• The Dental Practice Act (2 hours)
• Radiation safety (32 hours)
• Coronal Polishing (12 hours)
• Current certification in basic life support (BLS)
• DA certification preferred but not required
• Bilingual in Spanish/English or Armenian/English preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists patients and serves as the dentist’s chairside assistant.
• Prepares operatory for patient treatment per protocols and dentist directions.
• Exposes and develops dental radiographs per state regulations and department protocol.
• Maintains Dental Department equipment per manufacturer directions and department policy.
• Ensures infection control and safety standards across areas.
• Keeps operatory supplies stocked and tracks inventory.
• Maintains patient records and supports scheduling and communications.
• Performs other tasks to support organizational goals as directed.
