AltaMed Health Services Corp. seeks a Dental Assistant to support dentists and dental hygienists in delivering primary care services at our clinic or mobile unit.

You will sterilize, prepare instruments, assist during procedures, and help maintain an organized inventory with strict infection-control practices. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of relevant dental assisting courses, and certification such as Coronal Polishing and X-Ray, plus a valid BLS.

Qualifikationen

• DOJ/FBI background clearance within 30 days of hire if assigned to Mobile Units.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Job Overview

The Dental Assistant position is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) and the dental hygienist(s) in providing primary care dental services to patients at the clinic or in the mobile oral health unit as well as for sterilization, preparation and inventory control of dental instruments supplies, and for proper infection control of all areas involving patient care.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED certificate required.
• Successful completion of a board-approved course in the Dental Practice Act.
• Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting is preferred.
• Coronal Polishing Certification, Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting,
• Successful completion of a board-approved course in X-Ray, infection control required
• A valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
• Valid CA Driver's License, if assigned to Mobile Units, required
• Successful completion of background DOJ/FBI clearance within 30 days of hire, if assigned to Mobile Units, is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Compensation

$25.00 - $25.00 hourly
