Job summary

Gentle Dentistry in Carrollton, TX is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our growing team. You’ll provide four-handed chairside support, take and process x-rays, manage patient education, and help keep the treatment room ready and compliant with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.

You’ll work with Dentrix for scheduling, assist with implants, crowns, bridges and temporary crowns, and collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to protect PHI and follow HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and maintain patient comfort and education.
• Review health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide four-handed chairside assistance during procedures in accordance with state practice acts.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records management.
• Prepare treatment room with strict safety protocols per OSHA & CDC; manage supplies and orders.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
