Job summary

Glass Road Family Dentistry in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support clinical and front desk tasks. You will help with multiple procedures, take digital X-rays, and maintain sterile, organized operatory spaces.

The role requires an Iowa RDA credential (preferred), radiography training, CPR certification, and a minimum of two years in dental assisting. Bilingual Spanish is strongly encouraged to extend warmth to all patients.

Qualifications

• Iowa Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential preferred.
• Completion of an approved Iowa radiation safety course and radiography training required per state regulations
• Current CPR certification required
• Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish strongly encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Assist across preventive, restorative, cosmetic, implant, and other services.
• Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral images per state regulations
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control
• Prepare tray setups and manage supply levels in each operatory
• Record patient charting and doctor notes
• Greet patients and assist with scheduling and billing as needed
