Job summary

Big Smiles in Missouri operates a school-based mobile dental program, seeking a Dental Assistant/Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Team Lead to support underserved children at school sites in St. Louis, MO and nearby areas.

The role offers full-time hours, travel to multiple school sites, and a chance to impact children's oral health. Ideal candidates will have an X-ray license, CPR certification, and experience in dental assisting.

Qualifications

• Dental assisting experience in mobile/clinic settings is preferred.
• X-ray license and CPR certification required.
• Willing to travel daily; valid driver's license.
• Ability to work with children and maintain safety.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task; team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide Dental Assisting Services during mobile clinics.
• Digital X-ray Imaging and patient records charting.
• Equipment setup, sterilization, and breakdown; travel between school sites.

Big Smiles Missouri, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Dental Assistant/Expanded Fuctions Dental Assistant Team Lead in St. Louis, MO and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school, working full-time.

• Dental Assisting Services during mobile dental clinics
• X-ray License
• Digital X-ray Imaging experience
• Coronal Polishing (preferred, not required)
• CPR certified
• Work experience as a Dental Assistant
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and willing to travel
• Works well with children
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
• Team player and able to work on a small team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Dental Assistant Responsibilities

• Dental Assisting Services during mobile dental clinics

Team Lead Requirements/Responsibilities

• Responsible for driving company vehicle Must be at least 21 years old Must be willing to travel daily Ability to meet deadlines and arrive on‑time each day Reliable, organized, punctual Computer skills – Microsoft office applications Great people skills - ability to communicate with Adults & Children Must have valid drivers license, clean driving record Order supplies, sterilizing instruments, spore testing Responsible for back office duties Keep van & equipment in good condition
