Southwest Dental Care in Little Rock, AR is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our friendly team. You will support the dentist during patient exams, prepare treatment rooms and instruments, take dental X-rays, and help maintain a welcoming, efficient clinic environment for every patient.

This full-time position offers competitive pay, health benefits, PTO and a 401(k). Work hours are Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm and Friday 8:00am–12:00pm.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups and ensure comfort
• Prepare materials for crowns or dental impressions
• Set up instruments, equipment and materials
• Take x-rays of patients’ teeth when necessary and display results for the dentist
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Hours:

Full-Time

Monday- Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm
