Job summary

Catawba Springs Dental Care, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in North Carolina. You’ll greet patients, review health history, take x-rays with iTero and digital imaging, assist dentists four-handed, and keep Dentrix schedules and records.

We emphasize safety, HIPAA training, and proactive supply management, with opportunities to grow within Heartland Dental’s nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state practice act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI safeguarding required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and educate during treatment.
• Review health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and digital imaging (iTero 3D scanner).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry).
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols.
• Manage supplies and place orders to support workflow.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office efficiency.
