Job summary

Catawba Springs Dental Care is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You’ll work with state-of-the-art technology and a supportive team focused on delivering excellent patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting dentists, taking x-rays, maintaining OSHA/CDC safety standards, managing supplies, and using Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping. We offer training and growth within a secure, 20+ year-old practice.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• If required under state dental act, dental assistant and/or x-ray certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and provide education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures in accordance with state dental practice act.
• Use Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols (OSHA & CDC).
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
