Job Summary

The Dental Assistant collaborates with dental providers to ensure the highest quality of patient care. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down rooms and equipment, preparing patients for treatment, documenting in the electronic dental record, preparing laboratory cases, practicing proper infection prevention, and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of tray set-up, sterilization of instruments
  • Passing and receiving instruments
  • Mixing cements, amalgam, and impression materials
  • Oral evacuation and retraction
  • Seating, preparing, and dismissing patients
  • Operatory preparation and clean-up
  • Following Clinic Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens protocols
  • Demonstrating respect and professionalism towards patients, families, visitors, and staff
  • Performing all other duties as assigned

Health Requirements
