Job summary

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley is hiring Dental Assistants (DA) and Registered Dental Assistants (RDA) at multiple health centers in the region. Experienced DAs or new graduates are welcome; higher pay for RDAs.

DAs will support dentists, prepare instruments, maintain back office, and ensure patient comfort. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient communication, and adherence to confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Completed dental assisting program from an accredited college.
• X-ray certification required.
• Coronal Polish certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt dental support; promotes a smooth patient flow; collects and records data accurately; maintains order of the back office, equipment and supplies.
• Helps ensure patients receive needed care when they need it.
• Communicates openly with supervisor and staff.
• Works flexible or extended hours as necessary.
• Participates in in-services and meetings, listening and respecting others’ ideas.
• Abides by rules of confidentiality.
