Job summary

NHOMS & MassOMS in Manchester, NH seeks a Dental Assistant to support oral surgeons and ensure clinic efficiency. The candidate will assist during surgical procedures, sterilize rooms, and manage patient records with a focus on safety and quality care.

The role requires CPR and radiology certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months), a dental assistant license (RDA/CDA) and a HS diploma. Travel within clinic operations may be needed.

Qualifications

• CPR and radiology certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Massachusetts Dental Assistant License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• High School Diploma required; clean driving record may be necessary.
• DAANCE preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside during dental surgical procedures.
• Prepare, break down, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.
• Maintain infection control in accordance with CDC/OSHA/HIPAA.
• Capture radiographs and document patient records.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care instructions to patients.
• Maintain accurate patient charting for continuity of care.

Pay

• $22 - $30 per hour

Full-time availability Monday - Friday.

Requirements

• License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant

CPR certification is required to ensure readiness in emergency situations.

Radiology certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, ensuring proficiency in capturing diagnostic images.

NH MedTech (for NH Assistants only).

Massachusetts Dental Assistant License or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, meeting state regulatory requirements.

Possession of a High School Diploma and reliable transportation is essential.

Preferences

• Demonstrated motivation to learn with a genuine passion for healthcare and a commitment to direct patient care.
• Previous experience in dental or oral surgery is preferred, showcasing a solid foundation in dental assisting.
• Familiarity with Open Dental software is a plus, demonstrating adaptability to dental practice management tools.

• Willingness to travel as required to support clinic operations.
• Strong follow-through, effective communication, and reliability are paramount for success in this role.
• DAANCE certification is preferred, or the ability to achieve it within 1 year of hire, indicating a commitment to professional development in dental anesthesia and sedation.

Job Description

• Provide patients with comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care instructions to enhance their overall experience and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient charting for effective record-keeping and continuity of care.
