Job summary

Ridge Road Family Dentistry in Cleveland is seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant to join our friendly team. You will assist the dentist during multiple procedures, sterilize instruments, and maintain a calm, clean clinical environment to comfort patients.

Ideal candidates have a Registered Dental Assistant or Certified Dental Assistant license and at least 2 years of experience. We offer a supportive schedule and opportunities to grow in a busy local practice.

Qualifications

Valid RDA/CDA license and related certifications.
Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience.
CPR/BLS, X-ray/Radiography certifications, Local Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide knowledge.

Responsibilities

Prepare and arrange dental instruments, materials, and equipment.
Assist the dentist during procedures, including restorative, surgical, and hygiene treatments.
Sterilize instruments and ensure infection control protocols are followed.
Take and develop dental x-rays.
Record patient medical histories and chart dental procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and operatories.
Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed.
Support front desk staff with scheduling and patient intake if needed.
