Job Summary
We are seeking a dental assistant to join our dental practice. We will offer on the job training if no prior experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Pay
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
Requirements
- License & Certification: Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant
Preferences
- License & Certification: Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and dental coding is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems like Dentrix is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Job Description
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Perform basic dental procedures such as taking x-rays, impressions, and applying fluoride treatments.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix for record keeping and billing purposes.
- Uphold aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
