Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant for Woodland Lake Family Dental in Brighton, MI. You will provide chair-side clinical support, prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a clean, efficient workflow.

You’ll record and review patient histories, manage instruments, and ensure asepsis per OSHA standards. The role offers full-time hours, a patient-first culture, and opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.
