North American Dental Group’s Woodland Lake Family Dental in Brighton, MI is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to provide chair-side support, patient education, and meticulous prep and sterilization. This full-time role emphasizes high standards of care and teamwork within a compliant environment.

You will assist dentists and hygienists, manage patient histories and documentation, and ensure aseptic protocols align with OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.
