Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant in Toledo, OH. You will provide chair-side clinical support, prepare patients for treatment, and assist the dentist in restorative procedures while maintaining high standards of asepsis and safety.

This role emphasizes patient education, attention to detail, and teamwork within a busy practice. The schedule is full-time with typical dental office hours and opportunities for ongoing training and growth.

Qualifications

• Must have dental assisting certification or equivalent on-the-job training.
• 1–5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates welcome.
• Radiography/X-ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, document under the dentist's direction.
• Set up trays and instruments based on daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis per OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

Education

Dental Assisting Certification or on-the-job training
