North American Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant in Columbus to partner with our practice team, providing clinical support, preparing patients for treatment and assisting dentists in restorative procedures. Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
• Radiography/ X‑RAY certification for respective state
• CPR Certification required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patient.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent chair‑side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
