Job summary

Smile Styles is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant to join our dental team in a fast-paced practice. You will support the dentist in clinical procedures and help maintain a welcoming office environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, dental assisting education or experience, and strong communication skills. CPR/BLS and X-ray certification are preferred or required as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• CPR/BLS and X-ray certifications are preferred or required as applicable.
• Dental assisting education, certification, or prior dental experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Detail-oriented and well organized with a patient-focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient procedures.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as permitted by regulations.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and maintain infection-control procedures.
• Prepare dental materials and treatment areas.
• Record patient medical and dental histories.
• Provide patient oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and front-office duties.
• Monitor and maintain dental supplies and equipment.
• Create a comfortable, positive experience for patients.

Education

High school diploma or GED

CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required)

X-ray certification/permit (preferred or required)

Strong communication & interpersonal skills
