Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current radiography certification required.
• Dental Assistant certification, as required by state, or ability to become certified.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Current Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia certification preferred.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with chair-side manners and make the patient the priority.
• Be punctual, engaged, and ready for all shifts.
• Assist doctors/hygienists with procedures and anticipate needs.
• Take, develop and mount radiographs.
• Review charts, document health history, and transcribe notes.
• Prepare and sterilize equipment and operatory per guidelines.
• Help maintain schedule and patient flow with efficient procedures.
• Educate patients and address questions/concerns.
• Demonstrate teamwork to deliver an extraordinary patient experience.
• Collaborate with doctors, hygienists, and staff to ensure service quality and integrity.
• Assist front office with scheduling follow-ups and tracking lab cases.
• Monitor dental supplies and order using approved formulary.
• Promote Dental Works services and retail products.
• Complete checklists and daily huddles for smooth operations.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and safety standards (OSHA/BBP).
• Complete LMS requirements.
