Job summary

Sonrava in Chico, CA seeks a Dental Assistant whose priority is excellent patient care and a friendly chair-side manner. You will support the doctor during procedures, take radiographs, prep equipment, and help manage patient flow for a smooth experience.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, current radiography certification, and state-required dental assisting credentials. CPR and Nitrous certification are preferred; you must complete OSHA, HIPAA and infection-control

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current radiography certification is required.
• Dental assistant certification as required by state or ability to become certified.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Certification for Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia preferred.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with a chair-side manner, prioritizing the patient experience.
• Be present and ready to work at all assigned shift times.
• Assist doctor and hygienist with procedures and anticipate needs.
• Take, develop and mount radiographs.
• Prepare and sterilize equipment and operatory per guidelines.
• Contribute to efficient scheduling and patient flow.
• Educate patients and address questions and concerns.
• Collaborate with doctors, hygienists and staff to maintain quality service.
• Assist front office with follow-up visits and lab case tracking.
• Monitor dental supplies and order as needed per formulary.
• Promote Sonrava services and retail products.
• Complete checklists and participate in daily huddles.
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and comply with OSHA/BBP rules.
