Tinker Creek Dental Care in Roanoke, VA is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. You will support doctors with a wide range of procedures, maintain a clean and safe operatory, and ensure high-quality patient care from the first visit through treatment completion.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photos).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms per safety protocols (OSHA/CDC).
• Manage supplies and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow.
