Job summary

Roanoke Dental Group and Orthodontics is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support dentists in delivering high-quality patient care. You will help gain patient commitment for optimal treatment with urgency and contribute to a welcoming, efficient clinical environment.

The role emphasizes chair-side support, timely radiographs, intra-oral imaging, and education of patients on oral health. Ideal candidates will hold the required state certifications and an associated degree or certificate,

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma is required with state-mandated certification/licensure.
• Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by the state for radiographic exposure and other dental procedures.
• Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent education/experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist in gaining patient commitment to the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Actively participate in delivering the Perfect Patient Experience by focusing on patient needs and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; prepare patients for treatment and assist clinicians for efficient care.
• At the direction of the dentist, perform x-rays and intra-oral pictures as appropriate.
• Advise patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories per ADA guidelines.
• Comply with State, Federal, ADA, HIPAA, and other regulations governing safety and practice.
