Job summary

North American Dental Group-branded practices are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant at Convenient Family Dentistry in Burton, MI. You will provide clinical support, prepare patients for treatment, and assist the dentist with procedures.

The role requires a dental assisting certificate (or on-the-job training), radiography certification, CPR, and a commitment to patient education. New graduates may apply and you’ll work in a collaborative, supportive team with excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Certificate in dental assisting or equivalent on-the-job training.
• 1–5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.
