Job summary

Convenient Family Dentistry in Burton, MI is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our patient-focused team. You will support clinicians with chair-side care, patient prep, instrument sterilization, and radiographs, while maintaining asepsis and accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate has a Dental Assisting Certification (or equivalent on-the-job training), state radiography certification, CPR certification, and a commitment to exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification is required.
• 1–5 years of experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

Your Work Schedule

• Monday: 8:45am-5:00pm
• Tuesday: 8:45am-5:00pm
• Wednesday: 8:45am-5:00pm
• Thursday: 8:45am-5:00pm
• Friday: 8:45am-3:00pm

Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.
