Job summary

North American Dental Group - Defiance, OH is seeking a Dental Assistant to join Whittaker Family Dental. You will provide chair-side support, prep patients, assist the dentist with restorative procedures, and help maintain asepsis and efficient workflows.

Qualifications include Dental Assisting Certification, CPR, radiography certification, and proficiency with patient education and documentation. The schedule is full-time with a sign-on bonus of $1,000 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Radiography/X‑Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.
