Long Wharf Dental in New Haven, Connecticut is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team by delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative, team-based environment.

We offer a competitive hourly pay of $23 to $28, full-time hours, and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, a 401(k), and professional development opportunities in a modern practice equipped with advanced dental technology.

Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years on-the-job experience as a dental assistant.
• X-ray certification preferred; Nitrous oxide certification highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent; OSHA, HIPAA, CPR training required by law.

Responsabilidades

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
