Job summary

Mosaic Community Health in North Carolina is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our dental team by prepping rooms, patients, and instruments, and by assisting Dentists during procedures. You will handle charting in the EMR, take X-rays, educate patients on oral hygiene, and help maintain a clean, organized clinic.

Strong communication and patient-relations skills are essential; Spanish-speaking abilities are a plus. High school diploma required; CPR and OR Radiology license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or better.
• CPR certification preferred.
• OR Radiology License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient, sterilizes instruments, sets up trays, and assists Dentist.
• Assists Dentist with charting and notes in the EMR during patient care.
• Takes dental x-rays as prescribed by Dentist.
• During procedures, passes instruments to Dentists and keeps patients comfortable.
• Builds relationships with patients and educates them on dental hygiene and post-operative care.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and professional work environment; assists in inventory and supply management.
