Job summary

Smile Brands in Pekin, IL is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team in delivering high-quality patient care. You’ll prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and specialists, take X-rays where permitted, and guide patients on oral health.

You’ll work with a collaborative team, maintain infection control, and help create a welcoming experience for every patient. Prior dental assisting experience preferred; CPR/BLS required or obtainable before start.

Qualifications

• Meet state credentialing requirements for dental assistants.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain before start date.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine commitment to patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments and equipment for dental procedures.
• Assist dentists and specialists during examinations and dental procedures.
• Take and prepare dental X-rays and other diagnostic records, when permitted by state regulations and within your credentials.
• Provide patients with clear, compassionate guidance on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain infection control, sterilization and safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and supplies.
• Support an efficient, organized clinical environment.
• Help create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every patient.
• Work collaboratively with the entire dental team to deliver exceptional care.
