Job summary

MHC Healthcare is hiring a Dental Assistant to support the Dental team at the Marana Main Health Center in Marana, AZ. You will assist Dentists and Hygienists to deliver high‑quality care in a Federally Qualified Community Health Center setting.

The role requires a valid high school diploma, DANB RHS/ASBDE radiography certification, and BLS, with preferred bilingual ability and additional DANB certificates. Join a team dedicated to equitable, whole‑person healthcare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• DANB RHS or ASBDE radiography certification required or to be completed on hire.
• BLS certification required or to be completed on hire.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment area and sterilizes equipment.
• Reviews dental chart, greets patient, seats and prepares chart, and records vital signs as needed.
• Assists dentist by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining patient comfort during procedures.
• Mounts and files dental x-rays electronically per procedures.
• Counsels patients on dental health, obtain consent for procedures, and schedules follow-ups.
• Maintains patient records and adheres to infection control policies.
• Manages inventory, orders supplies, and coordinates with outside labs.
• Trains new hires and assists other dental staff with workflow improvements.
