Job summary

Marana Health is seeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant & Equipment Specialist to join our Dental team at the Marana Main Health Center in Marana, AZ. This dual-role supports the Dentist and oversees routine equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires an AZ RDH license, anesthesia and BLS certifications, and strong equipment troubleshooting abilities to ensure efficient clinical operations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Dental Hygiene is required.
• At least 2 years as a Dental Hygienist, including supervisory duties.
• Active Arizona RDH license and anesthesia certification.
• BLS certification and Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment areas and patient charts; ensure infection control.
• Assist dentist during procedures and manage instruments efficiently.
• Oversee routine dental equipment maintenance and basic repairs.
• Coordinate with vendors for advanced repairs and service records.
• Stock supplies and maintain treatment areas for smooth operations.
