Job summary
Willamette Dental is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant in Olympia to support dentists and other providers with patient care. You will prepare instruments, take radiographs, and assist in four-handed dentistry under supervision. Strong communication and patient care skills are essential.
Washington Registered Dental Assistant credentials at hire and BLS for Healthcare Providers are required. Travel to WD locations within the region may be needed; PPE compliance and sterilization duties are
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and credentials to function as a Dental Assistant per state requirements.
- ADA-accredited dental assisting program or EFDA preferred.
- Washington Registered Dental Assistant at hire; Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain instruments and materials for dental procedures.
- Assist under supervision of a dentist in four-handed dentistry.
- Counsel patients on post-operative care and oral health and demonstrate evidence-based dentistry.
- Take and develop dental radiographs.
- Take impressions for study casts.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain the sterilization area.
- Wear PPE and ensure compliance with company policy.
- Travel to other Willamette locations as needed.
