Job summary

MyCare Health Center is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists in delivering primary dental care. Responsibilities include instrument sterilization, operatory prep, radiography, and maintaining electronic records in compliance with HIPAA.

The role emphasizes patient support, infection control, inventory management, and collaboration with the health center team to ensure efficient, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited course in dental assisting.
• Dental Radiography Certification is required.
• Registered Dental Assistant preferred but not required.
• CPR (BLS) certification required.
• Demonstrates confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Assists dentist and dental hygienist as chair-side assistant.
• Sterilizes and prepares instruments; maintains infection control.
• Prepares operatory for patient treatment as directed by clinicians.
• Obtains dental radiographs in accordance with state law and clinic policy.
• Maintains Electronic Dental Records per HIPAA and clinic protocols.
• Monitors supplies and inventory; reports shortages for ordering.
• Assists with clinical and administrative clinic functions as needed.
