Job summary

El Rio Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dental care by assisting providers in delivering services to patients. Responsibilities include instrument passing, rubber dam placement, CPR as needed, charting, and preparing treatment plans in accordance with Arizona state laws.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and a certificate from an accredited Dental Assistant Program, with at least 3 years of chairside experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited Dental Assistant Program is required.
• At least 3 years of chairside dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dentists and Hygienists in patient care by passing instruments and supporting procedures.
• Maintain sterile environments and manage instrument sterilization and prep of operatories.
• Record treatment, code charges, and prepare treatment plans and notes in the patient chart.
• Coordinate patient flow, seating, and appointment scheduling to minimize no-shows.
• Adhere to HIPAA, safety, and regulatory policies while delivering dental services.
