Job summary

North American Dental Group's Dental Care of Michigan in Shelby Township is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join the team. You will support clinicians, prepare patients for treatment, and help maintain high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

The role emphasizes patient education, accurate charting, radiography, and adherence to OSHA and HIPAA guidelines. Full-time hours with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or equivalent on-the-job training.
• 1–5 years of dental experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific) required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to patient education and high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting and operatory setup.
• Review patient health histories and document notes under dentist direction.
• Set up trays and instruments per daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis.
• Assist with radiographs including exposure and development.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and safety certifications.
