Job summary

North American Dental Group, a Shelby Township, MI–based practice, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You will provide chair-side support, prepare patients for treatment, assist with restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of asepsis and efficiency.

Schedule includes Monday–Friday with early start times; new graduates are welcome, and state radiography certification plus CPR are required. Comprehensive benefits and strong career growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• 1–5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome.
• Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

Your Work Schedule

Monday: 8:45am-5pm

Tuesday: 8:45am-5pm

Wednesday: 8:45am-5pm

Thursday: 8:45am-5pm

Friday: 8:00am-3pm

Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You’ll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.
