Job summary

Cranston Dental Associates is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant for a part-time role on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, closer to home. The position supports the dentist and clinical team, assists during various procedures, and prepares treatment rooms for patients.

The ideal candidate has at least 12 months of dental assisting experience, an active X-ray certification, CPR/First Aid, and can maintain infection control standards while delivering friendly, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments and clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures.
• Provide chairside support and anticipate dentist needs during procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms before and after patient visits.
• Maintain infection control, sterilization, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety standards.
• Maintain patient records and clinical documentation in Carestack.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
