Job summary

University Physicians' Association, Inc. is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant for Kim Health Center to support a DDS and provide chair-side assistance, room setup, sterilization, and basic dental administrative tasks.

Requirements include at least two years of relevant experience and a license/certification. Open Dental experience is a plus, and bilingual Spanish is welcome. Great team working with underserved patients in a community clinic.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant dental experience required.
• Licensed and/or certified dental assistant.
• Public health orientation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Provide primary chair-side assistance to the Dentist.
• Assist with labs and X-rays as needed.
• Take and process X-rays of patients.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Update and maintain patients' dental records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Educate patients on procedures and oral hygiene.
• Monitor stock of dental supplies and assist with ordering.
