Northern Counties Health Care, Inc. is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to support patients at Orleans Dental Center and Northern Counties Dental Center.

The role provides chair-side assistance, patient preparation, x-rays, impressions, and sterilization, with additional duties in record-keeping and appointment tasks across both clinics. You'll work to ensure patient comfort, maintain clean, organized work areas, and aid dental teams in delivering efficient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of certificated Dental Radiography course preferred.
• One year of experience in a dental practice setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
• Proficient in computer skills including EMR, email, spreadsheets and document processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dentist during procedures. Seat and discharge patients.
• Assure patient comfort and prepare set-ups.
• Prepare solutions.
• Takes x-rays and impressions.
• Assist the Dental Hygienist as necessary.
• Construct and seat/cement temporaries.
• Pour dental models and construct mouth guards and fluoride trays.
• Document clinical activities in dental records per protocols.
• Clean and sterilize instruments.
• Participate in QA and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Meet productivity standards set by Supervisor and protocols.
