Job summary

Allington Dental and Braces - Lubbock is hiring a Full-time Dental Assistant for a 32-hour week (Mon-Sat). Texas RDA required; ortho experience preferred; Spanish bilingual a plus. You will support clinicians, manage patient flow, take x-rays where needed, and help with sterilization and prep.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a senior high school or GED equivalent.
• X-ray certification preferred according to State and individual practices.
• Certified dental assistant credentials preferred according to State and individual practices.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus (location dependent).
• Commitment to high integrity and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
• Guide parents of minors through processes before treatment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment; take x-rays as location allows.
• Ensure hygiene bay and operatory rooms are ready for procedures.
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and mix materials.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs and rooms.
• Assist dental staff with treatment: document patient information, assist with suctioning and sutures, pour and trim impressions, fabricate trays.
• Perform duties with adherence to company standards and government regulations.
• Other duties as assigned
