Oral & Facial Surgery of the Shoals is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our clinical team in Florence, AL. You will support oral surgeons during procedures, help maintain a safe treatment environment, and ensure outstanding patient care in a professional setting.

Responsibilities include room setup, instrument sterilization, radiographs, patient instructions, charting, and dental software data entry, while upholding HIPAA standards and a team-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of oral surgery or dental assisting experience preferred.
• 1+ year of customer service experience preferred with patient-first mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based tasks and dental software.
• Professionalism, reliability and a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon during a variety of procedures to ensure smooth treatment.

• Assist the oral surgeon during a variety of oral and maxillofacial procedures to ensure smooth and efficient treatment.
• Prepare treatment rooms in accordance with established clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Maintain strict infection control procedures, including proper sterilization and organization of instruments and equipment.
• Capture high-quality diagnostic dental x-rays and scans as needed for patient evaluation.
• Provide patients with clear, supportive post-operative instructions and guidance on oral care.
• Accurately enter patient information, chart notes, and clinical documentation.
• Perform administrative and computer-based office tasks using dental software.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.

Requirements
