Job summary

Dental One Associates in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team and provide high-quality patient care in a team-based setting.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, taking X-rays, assisting dentists, and educating patients on oral hygiene. Requires one-year certified program and an X-ray certificate; nitrous oxide certification is a plus. Full-time hours: Mon-Thu 8am–5pm, Fri 8am–2pm.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• 1 year on-the-job experience.
• X-Ray certification required.
• Nitrous Oxide certification highly recommended.
• OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Assist with dental/medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
