Job summary

Grande Smiles Dentistry, led by Dr. Tallio and Dr. Paparone, seeks a full-time Dental Assistant to work on-site in our community-focused clinic.

You will support dentists with patient care, front desk tasks, and lab duties, helping maintain high standards of care and a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, radiation safety certification, dental assistant training, and strong communication, organization, and empathy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Radiation safety certification required or course completed.
• Experience as dental assistant or completion of an accredited program.
• Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology and protocol.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; detail‑oriented and organized.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and staff in patient care, office, and lab duties.
• Prepare patients and information to improve flow.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic tests.
• Ensure tools and materials available before procedures.
• Sterilize instruments and disinfect treatment rooms.
• Assist with front office tasks: scheduling, billing, records.
• Provide postoperative care instructions to patients.
• Maintain dental records and histories.
• Manage supply inventory and place orders.
• Build trusting relationships with patients.
• Follow safety protocols to keep environment safe.
