Job summary

Ideal Dental Care- Dr. Peter Glavas, Prosthodontist is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our friendly prosthodontic and general dentistry team in Manhasset, NY.

The schedule runs Tuesday through Saturday, 9am to 5pm, with flexibility for days. You will support the dentist chairside during implants, crowns, extractions, root canals and fillings, and take digital xrays with proper positioning and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience: required; at least 2 years preferred.
• Strong dental knowledge of instruments and procedures.
• Friendly chairside manner and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to educate patients on oral health and post-treatment care.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during prosthodontic, endodontic and general dentistry procedures.
• Clean and reset treatment rooms with instruments and materials promptly.

Job description: Friendly and organized Specialist office is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team! Available working schedule is Tuesday through Saturday (we can be flexible with the days) and typically 9am to 5 pm. This role involves supporting dentist during patient procedures, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures, such as: implants, crowns, extractions, root canals and fillings. Must be able to take digital xrays well.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures including prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry.
• Clean and reset treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials in a timely and efficient manner.
• Take digital xrays, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to ensure understanding.

Skills

• Must have experience, preferable at least 2 years.
• Team player who takes pride and ownership in their job.
• Strong dental knowledge of dental instruments and burs.
• Kind and friendly chairside manner.

Salary: $24 – $28 hourly
