Job summary

Florida Dental As is seeking an experienced dental assistant to join our team in person. You will help keep the doctor on time with 6-8 patients daily, prepare rooms, and provide chairside support across general, pediatric, endodontic, and prosthodontic procedures.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, can multitask, and maintains excellent time management. Benefits include PTO, holiday pay, uniform allowance, 401k with match and bonus structure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy clinic.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Hands-on X-ray experience and use of imaging tools.
• Strong dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control.
• Ability to interpret medical terminology and coding for documentation and billing.
• Excellent communication with patients, especially children.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and keep equipment functioning per aseptic standards.
• Assist dentists during general, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric procedures.
• Take and develop radiographs with proper technique while protecting patient privacy.
• Manage patient records in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Record vital signs and medical histories to support assessments.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support front-office tasks including scheduling and medical documentation with Epic.
• Maintain infection control per OSHA standards.
• Assist with imaging procedures and use of 3D scanners when applicable.
• Collaborate in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow.
