Job summary

Old Town Katy Dental is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant in Katy, Texas. You will assist clinicians, manage patient flow, and help with imaging and record keeping. Join a team that blends patient care with modern technology and supportive mentorship.

Experience with Dentrix, x-ray certification, and strong communication are preferred as you contribute to a patient‑centered practice affiliated with Heartland Dental.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Access to PHI with HIPAA training and data safeguards

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and support comfort and education.
• Review patient health history to inform quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures following safety protocols.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow and Heartland Dental systems
