Job summary

Milan Institute is seeking a Dental Assistant Instructor to lead the dental assistant program, delivering lectures, coordinating laboratories, and supervising clinical training for students.

You will develop engaging curriculum, assess progress, mentor learners, and stay current with industry best practices, while maintaining a positive learning environment. Hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 1pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting concepts to diverse learners.
• Teaching experience or instructional background is a plus.
• Current certification or licensure preferred but not required.
• Strong computer skills are necessary.
• Ability to mentor and provide constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging presentations and demonstrations on dental assistant topics.
• Provide hands-on lab training to develop technical skills.
• Supervise and support students during clinical rotations, ensuring safety.
• Assess student progress with exams and practical evaluations.
• Incorporate current dental industry trends into the curriculum.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and encourage participation.
• Mentor students with career guidance and study strategies.
• Collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum and teaching methods.
