Job summary

Milan Institute is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant Instructor to shape the next generation of dental assistants through instruction, mentorship, and clinical oversight. You will develop lectures and demonstrations, supervise hands-on lab and clinical rotations, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback while staying current with dental trends.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting.
• Current certification or licensure as a dental assistant is preferred but not required.
• Prior teaching or instructional experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques and best practices.
• Excellent communication and ability to convey complex concepts to varied learners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lectures, presentations, and demonstrations on topics such as dental anatomy, radiology, infection control, chairside assisting and dental materials.
• Provide hands-on laboratory training, helping students develop technical skills and confidence.
• Supervise and support students during clinical rotations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and professional standards.
• Assess student progress via exams, assignments and practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
• Stay current with developments in the dental field and incorporate industry trends into the curriculum.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, collaboration and critical thinking.
• Mentor and advise students on career guidance, study techniques, and overall educational journey.
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to improve curriculum and instructional methods.
