Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the Dentist in delivering high-quality care to inmate patients within a correctional facility. The role ensures safe, compliant dental operations in line with CFG guidelines and contractual obligations.

The ideal candidate will have a CDA, X-ray license, BLS, and completion of an accredited dental program, along with solid infection control knowledge and patient education skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Completion of an accredited dental program from an institution.
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential.
• Current state X-Ray license and BLS certification.
• Previous dental office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dentist during procedures, including preparing instruments, materials, suction, and retraction.
• Sterilize instruments and disinfect operatories between patients.
• Assist with diagnostic X-rays and preparation of dental materials (cement, composite, impression materials, etc.).
• Maintain accurate patient dental charts and record findings.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventative care.
• Maintain dental operator and equipment in proper working order.
• Inventory and order supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
