Job summary

Blakeney Pediatric Dentistry in Charlotte, NC seeks a Dental Assistant II – Pediatrics to support pediatric dentists, chairside during procedures, and help create a welcoming environment for our young patients.

Requirements include CDA or EFDA certification, Coronal Polishing and Nitrous Oxide certification (or willingness to obtain), minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience, HIPAA/infection-control knowledge, and familiarity with Curve Dental software.

Qualifications

• CDA or EFDA certification is required.
• Coronal Polishing & Nitrous Oxide certifications (or willingness to obtain) are preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience.
• Solid knowledge of dental anatomy, HIPAA compliance, and infection control.
• Pediatric experience is preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists chairside during procedures, ensuring patient comfort.
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and equipment.
• Capture dental X-rays in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Educate parents/caregivers on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support front-office tasks as needed.
